Description: This is a fantastic set of 5 Vintage Prints original printed by Vanity Fair in the 19th Century. These were … more This is a fantastic set of 5 Vintage Prints original printed by Vanity Fair in the 19th Century. These were reproduced by Petrolagar Laboratories in the 1920s. Each has inscribed the name of each person on the lower left of the mat just below the picture.The inscription inside the mat reads, “This Caricature first appeared in the 19th century. It is reproduced and presented with the compliments of Petrolagar Laboratories, Inc.”. They are all matted. The caricature prints included are: Sir James Paget, Bart by Spy; Louis Pasteur; Sir Richard Owen; Rudolf (Ludwig Karl) Virchow; and Sir William Crookes. by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901). Sold UNFRAMED.
