Each digit is backed by a specially formulated liquid crystal solution which is designed to reflect colorful light only at that given temperature. To demonstrate the sensitivity of the Crystalite, place your hand on the back of the thermometer to the right of the lighted temperature and observe the color change. Do not expose to direct sunlight for prolonged periods. See less
