A stunning pair of uplight French art deco wall sconces in nickel plated bronze and clear frosted molded-pressed glass. Made around 1930-1935. The wonderful mounts hold large shades by Verreries des Hanots. This model is referred to as 'Les Losanges' (the lozenges) in the old Hanots-Verlys catalogs. Most of these shades are unsigned but they do also exist signed 'Hanots France' on the rim. Both shades of this pair of sconces are Hanots signed ones.
The sconces are 34 cm (13,4 inches) high and project 21 cm (8,3") from the wall. The shades have a diameter of 13 cm (5,1"). The pair is in very good condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the bronze fixtures. The lamps are rewired with American candelabra base sockets.
I have two pairs available. The price is for one pair.
