The prints for sale are from the second edition published in 1929 using the printing process of gravure; these are original vintage prints nearly 100 years old.

Karl Blossfeldt (1865-1932) was a German artist/photographer who devoted himself to the study of nature. He magnified his botanical subjects revealing extraordinary detail and the natural beauty and form of the various plants.

The images have a subtle tonal quality while having a very graphic simplicity. They are classic yet feel very modern, they look wonderful framed in a grouping.
