A gorgeously hand-painted and well-crafted vintage Minton-Spidell French style escritoire writing table or desk with a single drawer. The writing surface and open cubby-hole compartments are ample and unfussy. The table’s seamless blending of sinuous curves with the exaggerated cabriole legs creates an exquisite silhouette.
The handcrafted, black lacquer finish with gold leaf highlights and mustard interior, has the warm, distinctive patina of an antique. Like most pieces in the Minton-Spidell collection, much of the beauty of this lovely piece derives from the artistry of its design and its superb craftsmanship.
