Unique French wicker basket early 1900's in great condition. The piece is unmarked . It is finely crafted with leather fastners on the lid and heavy metal hardware and a lovely wicker weave making it a sturdy vessal. Its intended purpose is unclear it may have been a train case, market basket, craftsman case or a luncheon kit. The lid is functional but is slighly askew. The closure is slightly off and requires a bit of adjustment but will fasten. The basket weave has no holes and only typical wear. All metal hardwear has wear and significant patina and rust with a white scuff on the handle. It measures approximately 13 x 9 x 7 inches.
