This California pottery cigarette box was made by L&f Ceramics during the height of the mid century design period. Though probably originally made to contain cigarettes on the most fashionable coffee tables at the time, it obviously can be used for so many other things. The extended angles invoke the galaxy thrill of the time, man on the moon and all that. But is mixed with the Asian influence in the handle design. All got mixed in and vague with Hawaii becoming the new state and all. Makers mark embossed in clay bottom. less
