A low, studio made folding table (perhaps a custom lap desk) executed in what looks like exotic hardwood with Craftsman and Asian modern details. Found in the New Hope, PA area. Lovely mortise and tenon joinery and reverse taper (flared) legs. The tone of wood corresponds with cocobolo, a tropical hardwood similar to rosewood. Lightweight but sturdy. Cleverly designed to fold completely flat and "pop" open effortlessly for use. Great as a tray table for a luxurious breakfast in bed (with plenty of space for your laptop and magazines) or take it on the go to host a picnic in style.
