A rare pair of French art deco flush mounts in clear partly frosted … more flush mounts by Ets. J.Gauthier - Ezan
A rare pair of French art deco flush mounts in clear partly frosted moulded-pressed glass made around 1930-35. The shades are made by the large glass manufactory of Jean Gauthier in the town of Ezanville a little north from Paris. In the mid 30s it became well-known for its glassware in bluish opalescent semi-crystal like we can often see on for instance Charles Ranc or Henri Petitot chandeliers of the late thirties. The mountings are done in nickel plated solid brass or bronze. The flush mounts have a diameter of 23 cm (9-1/16") and are 12,5 cm high (4,92 inches). This model Ezan cup is never signed.
The pair of flush mounts is in excellent condition. I re-nickeled the fixtures. And they come rewired. They hold two American candelabra base sockets each. The shades are without chips or cracks.
