The plate shows transfer printed, hand painted … more From the Longchamp Faïencerie in France, an octagonal shaped Asparagus plate, circa 1885.
The plate shows transfer printed, hand painted floral bouquets and sprays on a creamy white ground. The lower area of the plate has a sauce well divided by two green, crossed asparagus spears. The plate is rimmed by a raised running border of end to end green spears as well.
