Yuri Tremler by blending captivating colors and remarkable imagery, creates flowing scenes filled with class and sophistication. He was born in the Ukraine in 1961 and attended the College of Arts in Kharkov. Later he continued his studies at the Kharkov Art & Design Academy and the Gall Design School in Germany, and worked as a theater decorator as interior designer. In 1996 YuriTremler immigrated to Israel, where he tried his hand in crafts and jewelry, further refining his sensibilities regarding texture, shape and function. In Israel many new materials became available to the artist - multimedia of acrylics, pastes and varnishes opened a whole range of new possibilities to Yuri Tremler. After two years he became a full time painter; exhibiting his works regularly in Israel and the United States.Yuri Tremler between 1988 and 2003, created a large body of paintings, which have combined both figurative and abstract approach His closely related compositions show female silhouettes and goblets, flowers and vases, often playing with the use of light, all within the context of interior settings. Yuri's concentration on color and texture is paramount. The artist reflects: "Besides the search for a new language in the decorative painting, I am intrigued by the contrast between shiny and matte surfaces, planes and volumes". The artist's striking and spontaneous palette clearly expresses a gamut of emotional states and moods. Painted with the accuracy of a designer and the delicacy of a colorist, his works both inspire and calm. He uses the female form and contrasts it with geometric shapes in his paintings. The contrast between the stasis of his stylized female silhouettes and the dynamic interaction of his brightly colored patches and complex textures creates a feeling of internal peace, balanced with the harmony of the external world. Tremler's works reveal a pronounced decorativeness, giving them a luxurious and pleasurable tone. The richness of the artist's palette is eye-catching. The vertical and horizontal lines in one of his geometric works swim and blur. Crystalline squares and objects blend with feminine silhouettes, moving whimsically from light to shadow, reflecting each other - flowers and women, vases and goblets - coming to a halt in scattered, multicolored cubes. Tremler's paintings move from the rational to the emotional. The images in his masterful works saturate the emotions and remain in the imagination. His works are now exhibited in galleries and art shows throughout Israel and the United States.Yuri Trembler's paintings please the eye with a richness of color, a great sense of color balance and confident brushwork. One can find echoes of the avant-garde movements from the early 20th century, themes of bohemian lifestyles, or memories of conversation over a cocktail from long ago. Subjects of Tremler's paintings seem to be distant and blurred, but the catch poetic moments of life. Yuri's art reminds us of a sudden still life, left after an intimate party, of time spent with friends, or a shared past which still excites.
