A tribute to the United States 1976 bicentennial, the platter, made by the renowned firm of Mottahedeh, the platter is number 142 of 150 made.
Carefully hand painted in an early American homage - including shape, details, and coloration - the platter depicts the fully-rigged frigate, the USS George Washington (1798). Found on each of the four directions are gold stars on a soft blue evening sky. A russet fillet surrounds the platter with an interior line of navy blue enclosing the gold stars. The intricately detailed USS George Washington floats at the center.
As stated, the platter was made by Mottahedeh, makers of porcelain and fine china. This platter, made in Italy, is “A Mottahedeh Bicentennial Limited Edition.”
Measurements: 14-1/4” x 11-3/4”, 1-1/2” height.
