This clock dates to the first half of the 19th century. It features an elaborate gilt bronze casing with a Greco-Roman statue of a woman on top. This is a real masterpiece.

This clock is quite large and is definitely eye catching. The bronze casing was the work of Jean-François Denière (1774-1866). Denière was well known and produced high-quality bronzes and furniture mounts for the French court and nobility, European courts, and the United States.

The 8 day time/strike movement is by Cailleaux. The porcelain dial is marked "Denière de Bronzes a Paris." The movement is marked "Denière a Paris" and "Calleaux."
