Clear glas internally decorated in Ariel technique in blue and amber and overlayed with clear glass. This example dates to the 1980s. Signed with: "Orrefors 957813 Edvin Öhrström" and "Graal Gallery 117-87". An authentic piece of Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian glass design. Edvin Öhrström (1906-1994) was a Swedish sculptor and glass artist. from 1936 Öhström worked as independent sculptor and glass artist. At the beginning of his career he worked with the materials granite, terracotta and bronze. Later he specialized in glass and steel. He worked with Orrefors (1936 till 1957) and Lindshammer. At Orrefors he developed the „Ariel technicque“ together with Vicke Lindstrand and Gustav Bergkvist.
