An exquisite and substantial custom-made mahogany china cabinet with a classical regency motif by a masterful craftsman. The mastery can be seen in the superb quality of mahogany selected, the crisply-carved rosettes and laurel wreath garlands, and the finely-turned foliage finials and arrow feet.
The mirror-backed towers in the lighted upper section has domed glass doors, sidelights and adjustable glass shelves. xxThe towers are conjoined by a six-foot mirrored center section for an unimpeded visual excursion from nearly any vantage. The lower section has four drawers (some, felt-lined), four enclosed cabinets with fully-finished interiors and finely-chiseled brass pulls.
With crisp, clean rectilinear lines, reiterated by gilded accents at each turn, this statement piece projects an air of refinement that never goes out of style. It’s rare to find a custom-made piece of this quality, size and condition. It was sourced from a large estate in a wealthy Westchester County hamlet.
