Porcelain vase, decorated on one side with a scholar and his child attendant and on the other side with a mandarin with a child. The two remaining sides are embellished with handles and scholarly item motifs. Finished with hon characters on the Figure Old scenes.
This vase had an estimated value of $1000-1500 by the auction house I bought it from, and it came to me with a price tag of $ 1399.00 (see the photo). I only found one other vase like this (same shape & handles, writing in the same place, but different images of the scholar and child). It was sold by another auction house who gave an estimated value of $1000-$1500. I have screen shots of these estimated values and this is in my photos.
Circa: 20th century? Exact age unknown.
Origin: China.
Dimensions: H: 13.5 inches, W: 4.75 inches, L: 6.75 inches.
Weight: 6.6 pounds each.
Estimated value by Auction : $1000-$1500 (priced way below what it’s worth)!
Condition: Very good condition. There are some red scratches across the child space on one side of the vase. There is some dirt that does not clean off inside of the handles and around the bottom rim of the vase.

MY GUARANTEE IS THAT I WILL BE HONEST ABOUT MY ITEMS AND FAIR WITH MY PRICING.
There are three steps involved in my pricing research.
1. Use an app called Google Lens to take a photo of any item. It will bring up similar items and how much they sell/sold for. This is also helpful in figuring out what to call or how to describe the item.
2. Do a Google search for the name of the item.
3. Do a search for the item by name on Chairish and another similar website.
Since I am being fair with my pricing I want you to know these steps. It will only help me by validating my pricing. I hope you will feel confident when purchasing from me.
Feel free to ask me any questions and make an offer.
Thank you!
