A Superb Example of an English Sterling Silver Art Deco Period Embossed Twin Ink Bottle Desk Standish, complete with all its accessories to include a pair of removable silver mounted glass ink jars encased within their hinged lidded cases.
The main gadrooned rectangular edge frame with allover lavish cast entwined swag cast detailing is raised on four highly ornate supports with shell, acanthus and scrolling detail. The surface of inkstand incorporates two full length concave pen receivers
Mark of CSH for C S Harris & Sons.
Assayed in London in 1910.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses, possibly never used. Marks are crisp and clear, two feet at back are bend slightly inwards.
