This is an extraordinarily RARE Pablo Picasso collotype lithograph, titled "Bathers". It is a very refined drawing that Picasso drew in 1918 and the original is now in the Harvard Museum collection. This is NOT a modern reprint. It is a vintage collotype from a 1946 Picasso-authorized portfolio of his most famous drawings, titled "Picasso Fifteen Drawings", published by Albert Carman from an edition of 500.
When you look at the series of 15 drawings, you can see the entire evolution of the artist from the turn of the century, to the mid-1940s, and it is simply astounding.
This is one of Picasso's most captivating drawings, done with very elegant lines. It is signed in the plate and dated 1918 in the lower right. We have custom framed it in a black carved frame with acid-free charcoal gray matting and conservation glass - all top-of-the-line archival materials to keep this perfect for years to come.
