The veneered tops do show signs of wear mostly restricted to nicks and chips in the edges of the top causing the original off-white paint to chip which as noted were touched up by previous owners making this set a perfect candidate to repaint. There are also small surface scratches on the tops which are too fine to be photographed but can be restored prior to repainting. The exquisitely shaped legs, ebonized in a silky black stain, are in excellent condition showing no gouges, deep scratches or stains whatsoever.
