Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown yellow over blue, and controlled bubbles Italian art glass bowl / ashtray. Documented to the Fratelli Toso company, circa 1950-1960. The bowl still retains an original, but worn, "Murano Glass - Made In Italy" blue and silver label attached underneath. It has an unusual triangle shape with large folded over rim. On the rim detail photo, you can see there is a layer of white between the colors. The bright sunny yellow, almost orange, is created with thousands of little color dots. They cling to each of the bubbles in a star burst pattern. The bowl is made with very thick glass. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or side table. Use it as a catchall, or candy dish. Incredible contrasting color combination. Mid-century era. Measures 7 1/4" long x 7" wide x 3" high.
