Antique 18th c. pearlware figure representing Medea at the Altar of Diana. This figure also is emblematic of the elements - fire. Classical robed woman stands beside a pillar with a bowl of fire.
Excellent attention to detail on this early Staffordshire figure. Hollow base. Measures 8.25" tall; base is 3.25" x 2.75". Good condition consistent with age - small chips to base & hand.
