Easily modified model according to a design by Joseph Stockel and Guillaume Benneman. Root veneer limited by so-called mirror veneer on solid oak and softwood. Extremely finely chiselled and cast very rich bronze applications. Rectangular body. In the articulated front are two open shelves and frames richly decorated with bronze in the form of fabric draping, ending flanked by tapered legs in sabots. Three-frieze frieze made from acanthus leaf fittings. Slightly protruding 4 cm thick mottled marble slab. The brass works of contre partie are made of creeping leaves. Beautiful patina, with shellac handpolit. (D-Sam-221). Wear consistent with age and use. less
