The outstanding box has a brass brim … more Extraordinary Napoleon III era (19th century) French black lacquered wooden marquetry glove box.
The outstanding box has a brass brim on the top and bottle with beautiful carving. The inlay is mother of pearl and gilt with some hand painting. The front has a wonderful motif as well. Box is missing the key.
It measures 10-3/4" long by 4-1/2" wide and stands 3-3/4" tall. It's in superb condition with no noticeable wood loss.
This box can be used to hold your favorite trinkets or use as a gorgeous display piece.
