If you … more This Justin Faivre oil painting "Home In The Hills" has been in my family for approx. 60+ years. If you look at his signature, it looks like he painting the number 52, (at least that's what it looks like to me) which is something that he did to indicate what year he painted it. I'm not sure when my grandmother bought it, as I wasn't born until 1960, but it's been around as long as I can remember. Justin was born in Matthews Indiana in 1902 and died in 1990. He started exhibiting in the Oakland Art Gallery in 1934. and became and California artist greatly influenced by the society of 6, a group of Oakland painters influenced by French impressionists Paul Cezanne and Henri Matisse. Asking $750 OBO.

The painting is large, 25"" tall X 30" wide from the interior of the frame. The frame is a vintage frame of good size, so figure on another inch or so, all the way around, for the space you'll need to hang it. It's a heavy painting, painted on some kind of board, not a canvas. There are a few places on the frame that have slight damage, which I included in the pics. less
