The exquisite natural grain of the wood has been left to shine forth in the subtle walnut toned finish. A double arched seatback crown on all chairs resembles an archer's bow, and is centered with a petite shell above a floral spray in bas relief. Acanthus plumes envelope the shoulders of the seatbacks which are centered with single splats sculpted in an urn form with foliate flourishes. Complementary carvings and scrolled borders continue on the apron below the seat, which ties into the four subtly scrolled legs tipped with escargots in front. Faux leather creates a comfortable and long-wearing seat. The relative uncommon addition of the two matching armchairs makes this set truly desirable!
