A rare and large French 1925-1930 art deco eight light chandelier in nickel plated bronze holding four shades and four panels in clear frosted moulded-pressed glass. André Neut was a French designer with a lighting shop in Paris. Labbé & Neut, fabrique de bronzes d'éclairage at 21 rue Saint-Maur in Paris. The shades of this large chandelier were ordered at the famous glass factory of Charles Schneider. The panels exist signed Neut and also ones signed Schneider. The side shades exist both unsigned and signed A.Neut. The four side-shades on this chandelier are signed Neut and the panels are all signed Schneider. This high-quality French chandelier shows all the typical art deco elements making this style so popular and sought after. The lamp has a drop of 95 cm (37.4") and is 74 cm wide (29,13"). It's in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the fixture. The chandelier is rewired with four American standard base sockets and four candelabra base ones.
