Description: Antique oil on canvas depicting the adoration of the Magi, a favorite theme in ancient painting which, is divided into … more Antique oil on canvas depicting the adoration of the Magi, a favorite theme in ancient painting which, is divided into a traditional iconography, where in the face of the figures of the Holy Family, placed on the left of the composition, the three kings are portrayed sumptuously dressed. The oldest one, kneeling in adoration of the child while kissing his foot, has already placed the gift at the foot of the Virgin, while the second and third await their moment to honor the sacred event, with their precious gifts still in their hands . The composition is very versatile and intelligently calibrated in colors especially in those continuous contrasts between the very clear parts and the somewhat darker ones.
