A wonderful 1925-30 French art deco lamp in wrought iron of outstanding quality made by Pierre Maynadier. Maynadier had a manufactory producing art deco lighting during the interbellum in Paris (25 rue Saint-Sébastien). Nowadays most known for his beautifully designed bronze fixtures Pierre Maynadier made lights with wrought iron mounts as well. In the late 30s they started to produce lighting in pressed brass in a modernist style. After the war the son took over and the grandson after him. The firm finally closed its doors in 1966.

The forged base holds a nice coloured shade in mottled glass produced by Daum freres. It is signed Daum Nancy France scratched in the wet glass paste. The base is signed on the bottom but the signature is hard to decipher. I have a similar base listed in another ad (see last picture) which has a clearer P. Maynadier stamp. The lamp is 33 cm high (13"), and the shade has a diameter of 12,7 cm. The lamp is in excellent condition.
It is rewired with new cloth covered twisted cord. I placed an American candelabra base socket and US 2-prong plug.
