- With our highest compliments and utmost honors, Bay Colony Antiques is extremely proud to offer for sale this fantastic late … more With our highest compliments and utmost honors, Bay Colony Antiques is extremely proud to offer for sale this fantastic late 18th / early 19th century antique Virginia 2 drawer worktable / nightstand. We purchased this from a home outside of Yorktown where it spent the last two generations in the same family. We purchased this on one of our delivery routers down south and that’s a big reason why we make a point of personally delivering whenever possible. We have a strong grasp on the New England market and are perpetually inundated with estate work. We do get calls from just about every state in the country but because of our schedules we have to pass up on a lot of southern & west coast estate work. The bulbous turned legs are absolutely wonderful and the drawer faces are book matched. The panels flanking the drawers are also grain matched. The table has two drop leaves that fall just below the table box. The drawers have hand chamfered panels, are joined with hand cut dovetails, and are fitted with antique glass pulls. This is without a doubt one of the most desirable Virginia stands we’ve encountered in some time and are sure we’ll find a good home for it quickly. The stand measures 23 1/2” wide x 19 1/2” deep x 29 1/2” tall. When the leaves are locked up the width changes from 23 1/2” wide to 46 1/4” wide. less
