Pecan is in the same family as Hickory and while not an overly popular cabinet making wood it works and finishes quite well. The table has an oval top with a mix of straight and wavy grain. The pedestal has a substantial turned column and the legs are finely formed with an interesting grain pattern. Staying true to the 18th century manner the cabinet maker even custom built a brass spider to reinforce the legs. When the table is flipped up like in our gallery image the table measures 23 1/2” wide x 20 1/2” deep x 45 3/4” tall. When the top is locked down the table measures 23 1/2” wide x 32 1/2” deep x 27 3/4” tall. less
