A very rare French art deco lamp in clear frosted molded-pressed glass made around 1930. A glass Muller base holds a square shade in matching deco. The lamp is represented in one of the old Muller product catalogs. The catalog is no part of this sale.
This stunning mushroom lamp has a height 31 cm (12,2") high and the bowl is 17,2 cm high and 14,5 x 14,5 cm in square. It is signed Muller freres Luneville on both base and shade.
The lamp is in very good condition. As almost all 90 y/o glass there are some small insignificant chips and one larger one on the rim (backside of the lamp) as well as a molding line on top common for thick molded-pressed glass (due to the cooling down process during fabrication) ... see last two pictures. I have re-nickeled the brass mount. The lamp is rewired with nice cloth covered twisted cord. It holds two American candelabra base sockets and comes with a US 2-prong plug.
