This precious Terracotta Facial statue dating to the early 1800's was made in Impruneta, Italy in the original Florentine factory responsible for making most of the Terracotta statues and sculptures around the region. This piece was likely given to the estate where it resided by the Medici Family of Florence.

Originally made for the exterior of a home,, this beautiful piece was placed next to a door, directly opposite a sculpture of a male face which is listed in our catalogue as item #J026.

The interior of the sculpture displays the artisan's handmade molding, delicately connecting to the clay base. The face itself is captivating. She is soft and demure, yet also conveys a strength emanating from the capable eyes of the face. A perfect piece for any home's interior or exterior.
