Original art for parrot and bird lovers! “Gossip Swirl” is a gorgeous painting of a yellow parrot done in a “Modern Chinoiserie” style. The parrot’s feathers are intricately painted with pretty chinoiserie details. This parrot character is full of confidence and pops of a gorgeous swirling marbled pattern. The tiny lines that detail this bird painting can only truly be appreciated in person and up close!
The swirling marbled background is inspired by antique marbled papers of Italy. Artist Allison Cosmos traveled to Italy years ago and was fascinated with the beautiful books and papers in Florence. Although traditional marbling is done with paper laid on a liquid surface and color floating on the surface, Allison hand painted the pattern.
Artist Allison Cosmos also has a fondness for rare, endangered and colorful birds. This art piece is part of a 12 piece series of parrot paintings. Choose your favorite bird and mix together for drama and fun! They look great stacked or side by side.
