The scene includes a view from a hillside dwelling down to the shore of a coastal cove below with mountains in the distant background, presumably in Cannes per the pencil notation at the bottom corner (hidden by the mat). The classic gold giltwood frame is more contemporary than the artwork, probably 1970s, as is the ivory linen mat.

We love the unusual proportions of this piece. Outside measurements as framed are 10.5" x 7". Ideal for just that little spot where you need something interesting on the wall! Main colors are shades of purple and blue with green and tan. less
