Good condition included a white cardboard passpartout (65x50 cm). Hand-signed by the artist on the lower right corner. Jacques Thévenet , born in Dommartin ( Nièvre ) on October 17 , 1891, died in Paris on April 5 , 1989, is a French painter , engraver and illustrator. He exhibited for the first time at the Salon d'Automne of 1920 , of which he became a member. It was at this time that he came under the influence of André Dunoyer de Segonzac , and painted still lifes and figures. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
