The cabinet was made by the Harvard Company which was founded at the end of the 19th century in Canton Ohio. The cabinet has 4 paneled sides with shallow carvings on the panels. The cabinet is signed on a brass tag at the top and with a stamp on the back panel. The upper cabinet has a tambour door that actuates with ease and opens to reveal a large compartment, a pull-out work surface, & 7 interior drawers. The key and the escutcheon plate were hidden in a drawer & we didn’t install them for the photos, but they can be seen on the work surface in our second picture. The 7 smaller drawers have round wood pulls & the lower 5 drawers have brass & oak handles. The cabinet is in wonderful condition with our only notes being minor surface wear, an old repair at the base, & a small rectangular plug on the top. The cabinet measures 24” wide x 18 1/2” deep x 54 1/2” tall. less
