It is Signed by … more This Really is an Exceptionally Nice Authentic Brass Ships Cabin Oil Lantern. Large Size - Scale.
It is Signed by the Well Documented - High Quality Marine Grade Lantern Maker C. P. GRIMLEY & COMPANY of BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND. It is Also Dated 1940 - Being The Year That it as Made. It is Substantially - Primarily Made Out of Solid Brass with a Weight of Over 10 Pounds but Note That it has Copper Fastening Rivet Construction. It has an Elaborate Adjustable Wick Oil Burner Mechanism That is Embossed "BULPITT". The Back has a Wall Mount Hanger Bracket But it has a Swing Hand Handle on the Top so it is Also Portable. Note that the Oil Reservoir - Tank is Completely Empty - Has Been Cleaned - Has No Residue. The Wick and Adjustment Mechanism are in Working Order so I Have Every Reason to Believe that it was Filled with Lamp Oil it Would be Functional. It is in Very Nice Cosmetic Condition However Lightly Tarnished. Displays Beautifully. It Has a Few Very Miner Dents From Use Over the Years.
