This vibrant lithograph is from Paris' Galerie Maeght's 1962 Derriere Le Miroir (Behind the Mirror) Issue No. 133-134 by Wassily Kandinsky. Galerie Maeght was a pre-eminent print house and gallery started by Aimee Maeght in 1946. They published DLM until 1982. It was an unbound art "magazine" although no one today would call it that. Aimee Maeght embraced the contemporary art movement and showcased all the notable artists of that time. Overall, there were 250 issues done and they are sought after and collected all over the world.
Wassily Kandinsky, 1866-1944, Russian, was a pioneer of modern and abstract art.
