Chinese Da Ya Zhai porcelain dragon charger, with a sky blue glazed interior, exterior and inset base, all covered with a fine, small pattern, iron wire craquelure. The interior and exterior are decorated with finely drawn, four-clawed, sky dragons in finely shaded umber and sepia glazes with gilt highlights, amid finely painted, white and sepia, leafy, herbal flowers, detailed in gold highlights, all in low relief. The interior rim is decorated with an imperial yellow glazed band, covered with fine, small pattern, iron wire craquelure, and adorned with seven flower medallions set within a dense lattice of intertwining, leafy acanthus and flowering vines in white and sepia glazes with gold highlights. A red, Da Ya Zhai mark and red and white, Tian Di Yi Jia Chun cartouche are glazed just above the double dragons on the interior bottom of the plate. A red and white, Yong Qing Chan Chun, Guangxu mark is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu plate stand is included. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century.
