Rare Arts & Crafts silver and Limoges enamel box by Bostonian Arts and Crafts Metalsmith and Jeweler, Frank Gardner Hale. The hand enameled plaque depicting a colorful Viking ship in Limoges enamel and mounted onto the heavy gauge hand hammered sterling silver box. Circa 1910.
Hale was well known for his extraordinary enamel work along with his metal and jewelry smithing.
The enamel approx. 1.5" x 1.5". Box measures 4.5 wide x 4 deep x 1.75" high. Base marked F.G.HALE. less
