Measures 36 1/4" x 27 3/4" x 3/4. Painting is in overall good condition for it's age, but does have minor cracking to paint, and very minor losses. There is also what appears to be one very small repair, but it appears as though it may have been done by the artist. Fully signed and dated. Painting is not framed.

Bio: Stella Mertens was born in 1896 in Belgium and moved to Paris in 1916. Together with her husband, who was also an artist, her mentor and her most demanding critic she worked in her studio in Paris. She has produced a succession of original paintings and had the opportunity to exhibit in France, the United States of America and Denmark.
