Luminous figurative landscape featuring towering redwood trees with rays of sunlight breaking through by Vancouver artist Jill Pless (Canadian, 1936-2015). A small nude figure in the foreground takes in the splendor of this incredible forest.
Signed "Pless" and titled "Muir Woods" lower left.
Displayed in a rustic wood frame with linen liner and light gray mat.

Jill Pless was a Canadian painter born in 1936. She exhibited extensively in Vancouver throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, and was known primarily for British Columbia coastal scenes and landscapes of western Canada. Pless died in 2015.
