This is a set of 6 Moser crystal sherbet/ice cream/dessert glasses and a tray in the hard to find "Royal" pattern with diamond design. Each glass measures 3 1/2" tall x 4 3/4" wide. The tray/bowl measures 9" wide x 1 1/2" tall.
All are unmarked, but from the same lot as the other Moser "Royal" glassware I have for sale. Other than some light scratches to the tray/bowl, this set is in excellent condition. I have more glassware in this pattern, which I am selling separately, so please be sure to check out my other items.
The stunning Royal design was commissioned by King Edward VII as a bespoke gift for his wife, Queen Alexandra of England, in 1907. Moser received a Royal Warrant as Purveyor of Glass to the British Monarch - a highly unusual honor for a non-British Supplier. The traditional silhouette is elevated with a delicate diamond cut and six-sided stem. Following the king's death, Royal was made available to the public and was purchased by King Haakon VII of Norway, Turkish Sultan Abdul Hamid, the Maharaja of Baroda, and the United Nations, among many other royal courts and governments. Mouthblown and handcut of the world's finest lead-free crystal in the Czech Republic.
