It … Read more This Really s a Great Looking - Very Rare & Unusual Vintage Cast Iron Figurative Quail Doorstop. Circa 1930s. It is VERY HEAVY - SOLID CAST Weighing Approx. 12 Pounds. It has Beautiful All Hand Painted - Decorated Features. Note! that it Signed with he Initials M N on the Base this Most Likely Being that of the Artist - Painter. It also has Marked - Partially Signed by the Maker ? in the Casting - Please See Last 2 Photographs in my Listing. I have been Dealing in Cast Iron Doorstops for Many Years and I Cannot Find Any Other Examples of this Doorstop in my Reference Books or Online. I do believe that it Could Possibly Be a Rare Hubley Model designed by Their Documented Premier Designer Fred Everett. Fred Everett Designed Hubley Quail and Pheasant Doorstops that are Very Similar to this one. It is In Excellent Condition - No Damage - Displays Beautifully.
It measures 7 inches Tall x 7 1/2 inches Long x 4 3/4 inches Wide.
