A superb original etching by listed Italian artist Giuseppe de Nittis (1846-1884), titled "Jeune Femme" and published by Gazette des Beaux-Arts. This remarkable impressionist etching has survived the past century and is ready for a new home. The edition size was 1500, however, these are quite rare and it's unlikely that few have survived in this condition. Be sure to use archival materials when framing, to protect this Italian art treasure for the decades to come.
The etching is in very good condition, and there is no sign of past framing, which makes this a near perfect find. Comes unframed.
Plate dimensions 4 1/2" x 6". The laid paper measures 7" x 11".
