The bronze is beautiful and intact with no missing pieces. If you view the last couple of photos, you will see that there is chipping on one side of the marble, and one of the side marble panels has been replaced with wood and nicely matched. The ebony wood supporting the bronze child with veil is split across at bottom, but is tight and held together by the interior metal column. which screws together at the bottom underside). Pair Antique Figural French Bronze and Marble Bookends with Cherubs - 19th Century Victorian Bookends, Office Decor, Library Decor, Tall Figurative Bookends
~ MEASUREMENT: 12" high x 4-1/2" wide at base x 4" deep at base
This is a very rare and absolutely wonderful pair of French antique 19th Century Victorian bookends. Each bookend features a dimensional and highly detailed 3-3/4" bronze cherubic child set in a frame of bronze leaves and flowers. Each rests on a black polished ebony woo column. The black marble base has decorative etching on the front and is attached to a marble base with bronze legs.
This is a one-of-a-kind must have set! So unique.
This set will look wonderful in entryway, living room, bedroom. office, or library.
