Each piece begins by entering a phrase, in this case, “addicted to d”, into a search engine. The predictive suggestions are then compiled in list form. Generated by algorithms, predictive searches are based on popular queries and reflect the personal, emotional, and inherently human questions and concerns of our times. When taken out of context, the list of words creates elusive poetry that seeks to inspire viewers to make their own connections based on personal associations.
