Circa 1950's or early 1960's oil on board, 18" by 14" (22" by 18" framed), signed at upper right "LEE … Read more Circa 1950's or early 1960's oil on board, 18" by 14" (22" by 18" framed), signed at upper right "LEE WILLKE". This work shows a Plains Indian with full roach and faintly mischievous smile. The complex surface is heavily worked; found in Maine. I have not been able to locate an artist of this name. I note some abrasion in the chin/jaw area; and there are several small flakes of missing paint in the jaw and neck area (see images). This is easily touched up. See less
