The tin metal form in the shape of a stork was used to make chocolate figures. The stork is a good luck symbol in France and delivering babies in the US. The mold has been painted with a black paint. It has a hole at the top for hanging and two raised bumps on alternate sides to fit indents on the other sides. The base is a round hole to fill and let excess chocolate out. There is a notch on one side to tie the pieces together.

The word FRANCE is stamped above a wing on one side. There is also a diamond shape with the number 23 within and a production number of 55.

MEASUREMENTS

5 ¾” (14.6 cm) tall x 4” (10.2 cm) wide x 1 7/8” (4.8 cm) thick. Weighs 3.7 oz (105 g)

CONDITION

There are no breaks, cracks, or dents. There are significant paint losses on both the inside and outside.
