Description: This is a wonderful French Antique carved oak cabinet (or Buffet Deux Corps ). The cabinet dates from the later … more This is a wonderful French Antique carved oak cabinet (or Buffet Deux Corps ). The cabinet dates from the later part (3rd quarter) of the 19th century. As can be seen from the pictures it has a number of features that show off its splendor. I really like the leaded glass panel in the upper section, as well as the open plate racks that allow for the display of collectible plates. The cabinet exhibits skillfully executed carving of lion masks holding rings as well as boldly turned columns. Without a doubt this magnificent piece will be the talk of whichever setting it eventually finds itself in.
